Tour of Cuyuna 2011 Weaving its way through towering pines, skirting the edges of Minnesota's newest lakes, and winding quietly under the cries of bald eagles, a trail connects people to people.
The exciting Cuyuna Lakes State Trail is a multi-purpose state trail through the five-thousand acre Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area (CCSRA).

The trail will covers over twenty miles and will be an important link in the overall trail system of the central Minnesota Lakes region. On the west, the trail will ultimately connect to the Paul Bunyan Trail in Brainerd/Baxter, while on the east, it will run to Aitkin generally following the Mississippi River and the Highway 210 corridors.

Currently the trail runs from Riverton to the Deerwood city limits, just south of the Hallett Community Center.

Mountain Biking Trail is Now Open!
The best best mountain biking venue in the upper Midwest is now opening to rave reviews by all who have partaken. We are seeing hundreds of off-road bikers (and paved trail bikers, as well) in the Crosby area every weekend now. The riding should hold up through October, so come on up and test your skill. There are three levels available - designed for all skill levels!

The Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area is under development at this time. Certain activities are restricted until planned facilities are completed. Please call the CCSRA office before planning a visit for up-to-date availability of resources at (218) 546-5926.

With local help and support, a dream to create the Cuyuna Lakes State Trail was born; its purpose being to preserve and yet share the recreation area, encouraging a variety of outdoor recreational activities.

The CLTA believes that, when completed, this trail network will create an enhanced sense of identity and unity for the communities involved.

Please give your resources the respect they deserve, thank you!
